The seniors cell came to exist because of the desire of seniors who wanted to be included in a group of their own age, doing senior things.
We gather on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 in Communio Hall. Here we talk about senior topics, and advise each other on various subjects. Sometimes these discussions are religious and sometimes it concerns general problems that seniors experience. The cell supports its members in times of sickness, death, or other problems. Afterwards tea and coffee are served.
The cell organises outings for the group to various places, like the Kruger National Park, different old age homes, creative days, we do bring and braais, and many more. We have a party on the last Tuesday of every month, when the persons who had their birthday in that month, spoil us with something nice to eat.
Our year normally kicks off with a weeklong visit to Badplaas, and ends with a lovely meal at one of the restaurants in town.
We are the only cell that does not close during school holidays. Except for in December.
The senior cell is an interdenominational movement, so if you are a senior, please come and visit the cell.
